Kexin Tong is a bright representative of the female HMB in China. She is a tenacious and talented duelist from China. During the fight, she is focused and uncompromising. And in life, Kexin is a cheerful and charming student.

She has been in HMB sports for only a year, but her passion for our sports takes a special place in her heart and schedule. For herself, the girl chose the Longsword nomination and continues to improve in the possession of such a beautiful and complex weapon. This choice was inspired by her favorite manga called Claymore. The main character there fights evil with a huge sword.

Kexin is so good in her skill of sword fighting that she will come to a place in the HMB team of her country to participate in the HMB World Championship Battle of the Nations, but she still remembers her very first fights.

“It was last December in Nanning, China. I had a Longsword duel with my teammate Huang.

Before the fight I was nervous, I was self-doubting and overthinking, but as we first crossed swords, the adrenaline pumping in my blood made me get rid of all those negative feelings. It was not easy, but I enjoyed every second of it! I was hoping I could make it to BotN next year… now I hope the pandemic will end soon, and I will take part in the world championship at last! Fingers crossed!”

In China, everyone does what they can for the development of HMB in the country. Kexin also does not stand aside. They broadcast video, actively work with social media, organize offline events, etc.

The girl is very lucky that her family supports her passion for our sports. Without them, it would have been much more difficult for her. It is worth noting that, according to Kexin, it could not be otherwise.

“I am grateful for my extremely supportive parents. My grandparents were soldiers when they were young, the fighting spirit is a great heritage I have got from them”.

However, despite her uncompromising attitude in battle and the spirit of a warrior, the girl has other peaceful hobbies like Opera singing, dancing, language learning, and occasional video gaming. She also sees something more peaceful as her main goal in HMB.

“My main goal is making friends. Meeting awesome people from different places in the world! The shiny trophies and medals are great, and a fighter should aim for honor and victory, but really, those things are just the cherry on top. Friendship is what truly matters to me”.

This is an excellent goal, and Kexin will certainly find a huge number of friends in our friendly and colorful community.

And to those girls who want to try themselves in HMB, but are afraid, Kexin says:

“Follow your heart, otherwise you’ll regret it later.”

HMBIA News thanks our Chinese warrior for the conversation and wishes her to achieve all her goals. And, of course, we can’t wait to meet her on the lists of the Battle of the Nations as soon as possible.
