One of the hot topics in the HMB new year was the announcement of the Buhurt Next and Buhurt Prime tournaments within the Buhurt League system. Buhurt Next will be held in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, on January 22, 2022. This event is one of the most important competitions of the season and, according to Artem Vasilev, the BL brand manager, the return of these tournaments to the HMB calendar is hugely important for the entire HMB movement.
“After a long break, quarantine measures and forced downtime in training and competition, HMB fighters can finally enter the lists of a large-scale international event. For a long time, they fought for the opportunity to participate in Next and, finally, they can fight for victory here. The ability to hold international tournaments is important for the further development of HMB. Motivated by the upcoming battles with the strongest teams, the fighters are more likely to get in shape, put their armor and weapons in order, and in general, the competitive moment in such a sport as HMB cannot be overestimated. The whole team of the Buhurt League and I are looking forward to January 22”.
Alexander Uroshevich, a representative of the team of organizers of the tournament Buhurt Next and the captain of the White Stags team told us about some features of the upcoming tournament.
“As part of organization it’s going to be a huge challenge to organize this tournament in a situation like this one because of all Covid rules. But we are more than ready. It’s going to be an awesome tournament where the new Top bar type of the lists will be used. The tournament will take place in the middle of Belgrade. It is a prestigious location for such a large-scale HMB event. We believe that after BotN X everything is possible”.
It is worth noting that the White Stags team got the slot of participation in the Buhurt Next as the hosting country representatives.
“We are eager to fight with some of the best teams in this sport, so as a team it’s a huge honor for us to be part of this tournament”.

Let us remind you that the Buhurt Next is the final tournament of the season where teams that took 11-20 places in the BL ranking participate. This year it will be the second edition of that HMB event, the first one took place on January 25, 2020 in Laon, France.
